Bar And Cafè Perched on the cliff above the pandanus-fringed Dream Beach, the rustic, thatched-roof Café Pandan is open to the sea breezes, with views to die for. The building covers two levels and has been embellished with creative flair, featuring ornamental patterns in the stonework and traditional natural décor.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 100 guests and is therefore suitable for parties and events. The menu presents the best Thai curries on the island along with fresh seafood and some seriously good Indonesian dishes including nasi goreng with prawns, spring rolls, and meat or seafood sate served with peanut sauce. Lembongan-styled Balinese specialties include the famous Pepes Ikan – a dish of fragrant spiced local fish, wrapped and cooked in banana leaf packages; the juices are contained inside the parcel and the experience is an explosion of moist smoky taste.
Portions are huge, flavours are scrumptious, the presentation is artistic, and the prices make everybody happy. At Pandan Bar, the laid back ambience reflects the charm and charisma of the beach side setting. The music is always playing and the cocktails are always flowing, especially during happy hours in the late afternoons (buy one, get two, daily 4pm - 6pm). The owner has conjured up a superb selection of blends, such as the signature offerings of Dream Beach Kiss, Dream Beach Sling and Devil’s Tear, all created with imported spirits at delightfully affordable prices. Activities And Recreation What to see and to do: Walk the suspension bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Snorkel at Crystal Bay; the coral here is a must-see and largely untouched. Watch the legendary Lembongan sunsets above the crashing waves.
Visit the bizarre ‘Rumah di Bawah Tanah’, an Underground House that was built back in the 1960s by a local priest acting upon divine inspiration.
